DJ.station and G.O.D are well-known among most gay men, but not many know about Maggie Choo’s. Located on Silom Road in the basement of the Novotel Hotel, Maggie Choo’s is a trendy underground bar that offers live music, cocktails, food, and gay day events.
The style of Maggie Choo’s is completely different from the “street-side” style of DJ and god; it has a sophisticated white-collar atmosphere with a dress code mainly consisting of shirts – no tank tops or flip-flops allowed.
Sundays are gay days with more LGBTQ+ individuals present. On these days, there are drag shows featuring Thai performers as well as local and Western handsome men. Special rainbow parties will be held during Songkran (Thai New Year) and Christmas/New Year celebrations.
It feels like a formal jazz bar where you won’t see the typical “street-side” fashion. There are plenty of good-looking local guys and Europeans/Americans to explore; just don’t wear tank tops or flip-flops.

Transportation Tips: Search for Maggie Choo’s on the map; it’s located at the end of Silom Road by the river. Take BTS to Surasak station then walk approximately 700 meters.
Review:The place gives off a vibe similar to that of a formal jazz bar rather than the casual street-side scene seen at other places like DJ.station or G.O.D. It attracts good-looking locals as well as European/American men – however wearing tank tops or flip-flops is strictly prohibited.
