Area: Bang Kapi

Farose Sauna is now called Farose Sauna Ramkhamhaeng. Before the pandemic, it was known as Farose Sauna II and was once touted as the largest and most luxurious sauna in Asia. During its peak, rows of motorcycles used to line up outside Farose’s entrance waiting to pick up customers.

Farose is a courtyard villa surrounded by gardens. The garden next to the swimming pool also serves as a cruising area with a garden-style sauna room that stands alone on one level. Its scale is much larger than Babylon, and one can easily imagine its past glory and splendor.

Upon entering, there is a round table front desk. To the left is now a small dance hall, behind which are changing rooms, lockers, and shower rooms; to the right is a karaoke room.

Walking through the karaoke room leads to the swimming pool, sauna rooms, and garden cruising area. Both sides of the dance hall on the right side of the front desk lead upstairs where entire floors two and three consist of maze-like dark areas for cruising enthusiasts. On floor three, red lights flash around glass-walled small rooms visible from outside. The fourth floor has been abandoned and and no longer provides dinner service.

Turning left at the swimming pool leads to a five-story building housing VIP rooms available for overnight stays at 399 Thai Baht per night—similar in style to hotel rooms downstairs during its heyday when local Thai men would queue here after bars closed around two or three in morning—the glass-walled upstairs rooms were even more lively then but sadly not anymore.

The current decoration of Farose appears rather worn out with poor hygiene standards since opening until now—Farose has always attracted more people later into their operating hours—with hundreds inside during peak times between four or five in morning—but nowadays it’s nowhere near as popular as before; moreover there’s an emerging trend towards becoming an addicts’ exclusive venue so everyone should be cautious!
